Rehabilitation of the solar Energy station for in Ikhzuq Musa well in the Jordan Valley / Marj Na’ja / Jericho (RSES)

Urgent support to Palestinian farmers at threat of losing their livelihoods in the Jordan valley. 

 

The ESDC implemented a solar energy project funded by Oxfam-Novib between January 1, 2019- August 31, 2019. The project directly supported 197 farmers (belonging to 30 farming families- or 240 individuals) living in Ikhzuq Musa in the Jordan Valley, Area C of the West Bank. The project helped improve farmer’s and their families’ access to agricultural water specifically their farming lands located in Marj Na'ja village in Jericho governorate.

 

Unidentified persons damaged the solar cells, the ESDC rehabilitated the destroyed solar energy system and restarted the agricultural artesian well.
